Sneaker’s is fortunate to be part of a wonderful community that cares and looks out for each other.
Seniors Staying Put, locally organized and funded, focuses on making it possible for seniors to stay in their homes in our community. Sneaker’s works with Seniors Staying Put and Pierce county to provide Meals on Wheels and Senior Hot Lunches. Looking forward to an end to quarantine and seeing all our friends back in the restaurant for lunch and cards.
Spring Valley Stagehands theater has been staging well loved productions with and for the surrounding community for over 35 years. They need everyone’s support this year as they have delayed all performances until the end of quarantine. Sneaker’s is donating 5% of all purchases to the theater during Dec. and Jan. You can donate personally on their website. The theater is also the home of the Spring Valley Choir which Sneaker has the privilege of hosting for Christmas carols every year. We so missed them this year but you can catch some of their best work on this wonderful Christmas video they made for all of us:
Sneaker’s has been unable to host our regional musicians since we closed for quarantine. We are looking forward to continuing to support local music when seating is open again. Until then, visit and support safe venues where our musicians are playing. You can enjoy some of their music on our facebook page.
Spring Valley has great activities and sports organizations. We are members of the local ATV and snowmobile organizations. Sneaker’s sponsors our own bowling team and Spring Valley Hawks baseball. Keep an eye out for the annual Hawk’s fish fry and all games.
Spring Valley library is a great place to relax and grab a book. Looking forward to having the book club meetings back when quarantine is over.
Sneaker’s provides training and employment to local highschool students. PPE helped keep kids employed this summer and while we were closed for seating they contributed to the renovation of the original terrazzo floor in our restaurant. Our local butcher and fresh foods grocer A Butchery Shoppe, provides our wonderful pizza sausage and steaks. They have fantastic meat appreciated in restaurants all the way to the Twin Cities.
The town is very lucky to have our own Spring Valley Bakery supplying Sneaker’s fresh bread.
